Hodicska Tibor, a former diplomat's memoir volume entitled In Private with Ceauşescu (Négyszemközt Ceauşescuval) was presented on the 5th of May, 2014. on Monday, in the lecture hall of our library. The book was published by the Pallas-Academy Publisher (Pallas-Akadémia Kiadó) and the Pont Publisher (Pont Kiadó). The author spent 35 years in foreign service: one and a half decades in Bucharest as the diplomat of the Hungarian Embassy, later as an embassy in the Moldovan Republic. Kozma Mária, writer and editor in chief had a discussion with the author during the meeting. Answering the questions, Hodicska Tibor talked about the diplomatic work, its beauty and its challenges, but also about the complexities and disadvantages of the Romanian-Hungarian political conditions of the 70s and 80s.
