One of our regular activities is the Treasure Islands, that can be attended by classes after a previous registration. The task of the explorer teams is to chart an island, to bring treasure from there, and to present their adventures, relevations and treasures.
We also talk about working in a team – hardships, experiences – and at the end we piece the map together (this i show they get to know the library’s holdings). Finally, the motto, the essence of the team work is revealed: “And now (…) we’re to go in for this here treasure-hunting, (…) and you and me must stick close.” (R. L. Stevenson: Treasure Island)
